A 2015 Senior World Championship Team Member, Trzopek was a part of the gold medal-winning team at the 2015 Pan American Games. In 2016, she accomplished her goal of competing for the United States at the Olympic Games, helping the women’s epee team to a fifth-place finish.

Personal

Katarzyna Trzopek grew up in Poland, becoming an accomplished junior fencer before coming to the United States to fence at Penn State. As a Nittany Lion, Trzopek won two national championships, placing first in the women’s epee competition in 2003 and 2006. In 2006, Trzopek graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
