Team USA Finishes 7th in Women’s Epee Team Event

PARIS, France — The U.S. Women’s Epee Team finished in seventh place on Tuesday at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, bouncing back from defeats in the first two matches to win against Egypt, 44-30, in the battle for seventh.

The quartet of Anne Cebula (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Hadley Husisian (Oakton, Va.), Margherita Guzzi Vincenti (Hartland, Wis.) and Kat Holmes (Washington, D.C.) started their day with a loss to Poland in the quarterfinals, 31-29, which dropped them into the 5-8 bracket. 

In the 5-8 placement bout, Team USA lost to Korea, 45-39. And moments later, they defeated Egypt, 44-30, to finish seventh.
