A Note on Term Lengths and Time Commitments

At the July 6th USA Fencing Board Meeting, the Board approved a proposed bylaw change that would extend Committee and Resource Group terms from 1 year to 2 years. While this proposed bylaw change is still in the membership feedback stage, it is expected to be fully adopted at the upcoming annual Board meeting held September 13-15 to be immediately effective and applicable to this upcoming class of appointees.

While time commitments per committee or resource group will vary depending on the needs of USA Fencing and the charge of the group, volunteers should expect to attend regular committee meetings, contribute their expertise, and bring their enthusiasm and perspective to the organization.
