Here's the ROC and SYC Schedule for the 2023-24 Fencing Season

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — With 45 Regional Open Circuit (ROC) and Super Youth Circuit (SYC) tournaments across 20 states (plus the District of Columbia), it's safe to call the 2023-24 fencing calendar "A Season of Opportunities." 

These 45 tournaments were awarded after a competitive bid process involving quality submissions from across the country. From Nov. 12, 2022, to Jan. 14, 2023, we accepted bids for ROC and SYC tournaments using the process outlined here.

We’ve been reviewing those submissions over the past month and are delighted to share this incredible lineup for the 2023-24 season. 

Meanwhile, bids are still being accepted (through April 1) for the following circuits:

• RYC (Regional Youth Circuit)
• RCC (Regional Cadet Circuit)
• RJC (Regional Junior Circuit)
• RJCC (Regional Junior & Cadet Circuit)

The full regional calendar, which will include those four circuits plus the already-announced ROC and SYC tournaments, will be released once bids are closed and the review process is complete.

As a quick refresher, here’s what ROC and SYC tournaments are all about.

Regional Open Circuit tournaments are designed to promote and develop strong regional tournaments for the Open/Division I-A fencer who seeks competitive opportunities beyond the local and division levels but below the NAC Division I level. Other competitive opportunities in the ROC tournaments are provided for Veteran (40 & Older) and Division II (C, D, E or U) fencers. 

Super Youth Circuit tournaments typically offer Y10, Y12 and Y14 events. The top finishers at these events earn national points they can use to qualify for NACs or Summer Nationals.
