Club Incubator Program
Overview
In partnership with Fencing Ventures, USA Fencing is excited to offer the USA Fencing Club Incubator to our community! Now is the time to launch your new fencing club!
The Goal:
The overall goal of this program is to grow the sport of fencing in communities that do not have a fencing club or a large footprint of fencing in the area.
How it Works:
As part of this program, you will get to become a business owner and build your dream fencing club. This program partners aspiring club owners with an experienced business partner to help launch and grow new fencing clubs.
In addition, for a limited time, accepted applicants will receive a $10,000 investment to help meet the initial capital requirements for starting a new fencing club.
Growth Mode:
The Club Incubator program doesn’t stop after the 3 month startup period ends and the initial club is launched. After the incubation period, you will continue to work with Fencing Ventures to grow your club and business as quickly as possible.
Application Process
- Initial Application: Gathering basic information about applicants and their future fencing clubs. We’ll determine whether you are a perfect fit for the incubator, and figure out which cohort timing will suit you best. The four start-up cohorts of the 2024-2025 USA Fencing season will begin: June 2024, September 2024, January 2025, and April 2025.
- Interview Process: Each applicant that makes it through the first round will go through our interview process. Since we’ll be long-term partners with our accepted applicants, we want to get to know each other and learn more about your business aspirations and dreams.
- Due Diligence: All applicants must be up to date with their SafeSport certifications and background checks. We will conduct additional due diligence such as reference checks and credit checks. As investors and partners in your business, we will make sure there are no roadblocks to getting started building your own fencing club.
- Offer Letter: If you’re accepted into one of the upcoming four cohorts of the USA Fencing Incubator, we’ll provide you with a former offer letter and a standard operating agreement outlining the specifics of our partnership.
- Getting Started: Once you’ve accepted a spot in one of our cohorts, we’ll move forward with the process of setting up your new legal entity and getting everything in motion to get your club launched and running!
