Staff Spotlight: Tibbie Smith

Title:  Finance & Admin Coordinator

Hometown: My roots are a blend of Alaskan adventure and Californian living. Born into an Air Force family in Fairbanks, I grew up learning life's lessons in Baldwin Park, California.

Favorite Activities: I've embraced the Colorado lifestyle, exploring everything from hiking, cycling and skiing to golfing, paddle boarding, and concerts. While I've enjoyed countless adventures, I now find myself captivated by the world of crime podcasts

Quote: My mother's philosophy was simple: every experience shapes who we are. Her powerful words, "When things get tough, we get tougher!" (TRS|GNF), have always guided me.

About me:  I joined USA Fencing in January of 2025 after volunteering at a local company transporting individuals with disabilities and those who could not drive themselves.

My career journey began in the banking industry at West Los Angeles, taking an unexpected but enriching turn with a move to military life. My professional path has been wonderfully varied with roles across government, retail, non-profit, and service sectors, including involvement in the Fort Irwin Land Expansion, becoming a small business owner, and recipient of the prestigious Dr. Mary E. Walker Award for volunteerism.
