Something People Would be Surprised to Know: She used to dance, sing and play the piano. She went to a music conservatory her first year of college in Montreal. Also, UTDP helped raise funds for the construction of NWFC's facility in Beaverton, Oregon and helped subsidize the rent until NWFC could grow its membership to support its expanded facility.  UTDP merged with NWFC in 2009.
Favorite Fencing Memory: Returning to the sport in 1997 and holding her infant daughter during the medals presentation. Also her service to the fencing community, including the Oregon Division, USA Fencing and the U.S. Fencing Center Foundation, now Oregon Fencing Alliance. She is especially proud of the grant program UTDP developed and brought over with the merger with NWFC, enabling them to continue to help NWFC’s athletes today. She was named Fencer of the Year in 2018, by the vet community of USA Fencing, which was a tremendous honor for her.
