Aleksandra represented Poland at four Olympic Games and 16 Senior World Championships before changing her representation to the United States in 2019. In 2017, Aleksandra, who received U.S. citizenship after her marriage to American Brad Shelton, gave birth to son Henry who will be three years old at the start of the Tokyo Olympic Games where Aleksandra is aiming to compete at her fifth Games at 38 years old.
