The majority-women delegation from the United States achieved key election results and appointments at the 2024 FIE Congress in Tashkent.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The 2024 FIE Congress in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, showcased the strength of American fencing, both on the strip and in the boardrooms where key decisions will be made.
While Team USA already made headlines for winning 10 of 28 awards honoring the world’s top fencers — a staggering feat unmatched by any other nation — we’re pleased to share that our success extends into the governance of international fencing.
The U.S. delegation, led by voting delegates Jennifer Yamin and Maria Panyi, delivered exceptional results, securing key roles in commissions and councils that will shape the future of the sport.
