The Official's Information page is where USA Fencing Officials, or those looking to become one, can find important info regarding working National Tournaments (NACs and National Championships). This page contains general information for Armory, Bout Committee, IT, Referees, Replay, and our Medical team to help answer some of the more frequently asked questions.

Booking Travel #

USA Fencing works with Cain Travel to help book officials' travel by air and rail. Booking through Cain allows officials to have a one stop shop for all carriers, and when bookings are made through Cain, the National Office pays for your transportation, saving you the headache of fronting this expense.


Please take a minute to log into your Cain Travel account (Login HERE) to book your travel.

Please try to avoid submitting ticket approval requests on Friday or Saturday evenings, as most submissions expire after 24 hours and are therefore more likely to be auto-declined when the National office is closed for the weekend.

Submitting Expenses #

For costs that officials need to request reimbursement for, these requests must be submitted via Emburse Certify. Haven't worked a national event before OR have not received your welcome email from Emburse this season? Please reach out to t.gonzales@usafencing.org for set up help.

Hotel Information#

USA Fencing provides accommodations for all officials with a roommate, at no added charge to the official. Should you wish to be placed in a room without a roommate, you may request this. Officials who request no roommate will be responsible for payment of the Single Room Nightly Rate, as indicated above for the respective tournament.
